Overview of the action film
Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) is a relaxed lawman taking time out to spend with his daughter when the world becomes at risk of a deadly virus which has been stolen from British intelligence in London by machine-like human Brixton (Idris Elba). Declan Shaw (Jason Statham) is the relative of the British agent Hattie (Vanessa Kirby) and must team up with Rival Hobbs to save her and the world.
Both Hobbs & Shaw have a lot of hate for each other in the Fast & Furious films and therefore made an interesting watch to see how both would work together to beat Brixton and save the world from the deadly virus. This difference in both characters make the Fast & Furious film an entertaining watch, different from the normal action film.
Muscle Vs Mouth
With the Rock traditionally showing off his vibrant muscles and strength as well as Jason Statham expressing his British hard-character, these men were bound to clash every now and again. This seemed to be every scene in the action film from fighting in London while racing around in the McLaren 720S to surviving mass explosions on the MAN KAT 1.
The action film has received high ratings for the spin-off of the traditional Fast & Furious films. Hobbs & Shaw is a must to watch if you have been keeping up with the Fast & Furious films and are looking for that comedy, action and stylish film for the evening watch.
“Lawman Luke Hobbs and outcast Deckard Shaw form an unlikely alliance when a cyber-genetically enhanced villain threatens the future of humanity.”
Rotten Tomatoes: 67%
“Hobbs & Shaw doesn’t rev as high as the franchise’s best instalments, but gets decent mileage out of its well-matched stars and over-the-top action sequences.”
